McDonald’s of Michigan is celebrating our Black History Makers of Today
across the state of Michigan with 28 different High Schools where a Black Senior is being awarded $1,000 towards their future endeavors. (presented 2/24/2023). Students are nominated by their teacher, counselor, or principal.
Nevaeh’s teachers’ shared the below description of why they nominated her. She holds a 3.49 GPA in her academics as well.
“Nevaeh leads by example in the classroom. She is always willing to work and to help others. Nevaeh was also the victim of a racist incident to which she has become a leader speaking out in the community and the state about her experience with discrimination and campaigning for change. Nevaeh is kind, hard-working, resilient, and confident. After graduation, Nevaeh plans to attend a university in New York where she will study clinical psychology. Congratulations Nevaeh!”
